Heritage Oak Student Wins Age Category in Water Awareness Poster Contest

Yorba Linda, Calif. (July 5, 2017)— Heritage Oak third grade student Evan Yao recently participated in the Municipal Water District of Orange County’s Annual Water Awareness Poster Slogan Contest. This year’s contest had a record-breaking 983 submissions and Yao’s poster was selected as top in his age group. The theme of the contest was “Finding Water” and Yao’s submission featured polar bears searching for water on a dry landscape. He was the only student from Yorba Linda to represent the city in the winner’s circle.
