New Student Transition

Starting a new school can be a complicated transition, especially for children who are entering upper elementary and middle school.  For this reason, all new Heritage Oak Students attend an orientation program and are assigned a peer “buddy” to help them get acquainted with the campus.

We believe that the best private schools place an equal amount of emphasis on the social experience as well as the academic experience. Heritage Oak provides a “Student Services” staff which monitors the adjustment of students into a new school environment.  New parents keep in close contact with their child’s teacher as well as the their grade-level’s principal to ensure that each child is enjoying the new environment and feels welcomed by his/her new peers.
