Yorba Linda, Calif. (August 21, 2017)—Children at Camp Heritage Oak were able to experience their first solar eclipse this morning during the "Daily Activity" portion of the day. Each camper, with approval from his/her parents, was able to view the eclipse through a pair of ISO certified eclipse glasses. When not outside viewing, campers were able to watch the live eclipse via NASA on YouTube in the classrooms. The planning for this special event was completed back in February when the summer... Yorba Linda, Calif. (July 22, 2017)— Heritage Oak eighth grade violinist Sarah Liu recently performed in Pacific Symphony’s Symphony in the Cities concerts. Yorba Linda, Calif. (July 12, 2017)— Heritage Oak Middle School student Zirun Han was recently selected as a Broadcom Masters Nominee for her 2017 Science Fair project. Only 10% of science fair projects nationwide are selected for this opportunity. Han’s project is currently under consideration for Semifinalist and Finalist status. Yorba Linda, Calif. (July 5, 2017)— Heritage Oak third grade student Evan Yao recently participated in the Municipal Water District of Orange County’s Annual Water Awareness Poster Slogan Contest. This year’s contest had a record-breaking 983 submissions and Yao’s poster was selected as top in his age group. The theme of the contest was “Finding Water” and Yao’s submission featured polar bears searching for water on a dry landscape. He was the only student from Yorba Linda to represent the city... Heritage Oak’s Middle School Orchestra brought joyto many as they performed for the residents of  Yorba Linda’s Brookdale Senior Living May 18th. The production was entirely student produced as the young ladies and gentlemen prepared ensemble, small group, and solo performances for the residents. Yorba Linda, Calif. (March 29, 2017)— Heritage Oak Private School’s String Chamber Orchestra participated in the World Strides Festival of Gold at the Segerstrom Concert Hall during the last weekend in March. The Heritage Oak orchestra was invited to participate in this National Band and Orchestra festival after receiving the “Gold” award at the World Strides Heritage Festival last year.
