Husky Track Stars – Kindergarten-3rd Grade (WEEK 1)

Strength, stamina, and spirit will forge the path to a medal at this beginning track camp. Children will practice basic warm ups each day and learn the fundamentals of track and field as they focus on the long jump, hurdles, relay races and the shot put. Our coach will encourage each camper to build endurance and stamina as he/she races to the finish. The camp will conclude with an Olympic Track Meet on Thursday where parents can cheer on their favorite Camp Heritage Oak Olympians. Campers should bring water and wear sunscreen.

Basketball – 4th-8th Grade (WEEK 1)

As children grow, athletics become more competitive. This basketball camp provides a great opportunity for a beginning basketball player to learn the skills necessary to be successful in the game. It also provides experienced players with the ability to hone their skills on the court. A focus on basic skills such as dribbling, lay ups, passing, shooting, and defense, along with a variety of drills and mini games will prepare your athlete for basketball season next year! Please send your camper with water and a healthy snack each day.

Archery – 4th-5th Grade (WEEK 4)

Due to the success of last year’s session, Heritage Oak is once again offering a course in the Olympic sport of archery! Campers will be taught the fundamentals of stance, nocking, aiming, and loosing arrows in a fun, safe learning environment. Compound bow mastery, compensating for weather, judging distance and terrain, and mental exercises for clarity and focus will all be covered in this exciting camp.

Basketball – Kindergarten-3rd Grade (WEEK 4)

Shoot a basket! Dribble it and pass it! Camp attendees will learn skills such as dribbling, lay ups, passing, shooting, and defense. Along with learning the rules of the sport through a variety of drills and mini games, campers will also participate in a dribbling competition and free throw contest. Please send your budding athlete with water and a healthy snack each day.

Lacrosse – 4th-8th Grade (WEEK 4)

Got game? Come join the fastest game on two feet! Campers will learn how to pass, catch, and shoot as they learn the basics of the game lacrosse. The camp will be taught by Miss Kyte, who has been playing lacrosse for the past 10 years at the varsity and colligate level; she has also been a high school varsity coach for the past four years. Don't miss out on discovering your new athletic passion! Both boys and girls are welcome to join in on the fastest growing sport on the West Coast!

Racket Sports – 2nd-8th Grade (WEEK 5)

Break out those rackets and come join Racket Sports this summer! Campers will learn the basic rules of Tennis and Badminton along with the fundamental skills of each sport. We will go over skills and movements such as the forehand, backhand, serving, and volley. Campers will also work on building endurance, speed, and agility through various drills. Make sure your child doesn’t miss out on all the fun with Mr. Orozco in Racket Sports!

Pixar Games and Crafts – Kindergarten-3rd Grade (WEEK 5)

Mrs. Lloyd is excited to work with students who love the characters from the “Incredibles”. Campers will have fun creating and designing their very own “incredible” crafts, participating in super human fitness challenges and getting involved in daily games. Your child will work on developing their flexibility, endurance, and strength in this camp. So, if your child loves to make new friendships and loves team building activities...Get Inspired!!! BE Incredible! 

Co-ed Volleyball – 2nd-5th Grade, (FULL DAY - WEEK 6)

Former High School Volleyball Coach Miss Sierra will go over in detail all the aspects that are critical to the game of volleyball. She will teach defense and offense, serving, bumping, setting, blocking, and spiking. This camp will help current volleyball players strengthen their skills and allow beginners to learn and develop their skills. This camp will be filled with learning, drills, and games. Parents are invited to join us on the final day to watch their children play in a game.

This camp will allow young athletes to learn basic soccer skills in an encouraging environment. Camp activities include skill building drills, soccer based games, fundamentals, team building activities and scrimmages. Shin guards and soccer balls are optional but recommended. Soccer – 4th-8th Grade (WEEK 8)

Campers will learn basic through advanced techniques while preparing for the soccer season. Taught by an experienced soccer player, this fun and educational camp will teach the responsibilities of each position on the field, how to successfully work as a team, various formations, rules, and strategies. Shin guards and soccer balls are optional but recommended. 

All Sorts of Sports – Kindergarten-3rd Grade (WEEK 9)

This week of camp is perfect for your sports minded child! They will have the opportunity to enjoy and learn about several different sports such as t-ball, soccer, basketball and much more. We will focus on a different sport each day, ensuring that all children are given the opportunity to succeed in a fun, non-competitive environment. Be sure to join us for this one—we promise your child will “have a ball!”
