Technology is an important element in our children’s lives and should be formally integrated into learning. Heritage Oak third grade through fifth graders learn to type at least 25 words per minute at 90% accuracy as well as demonstrate fluency in major Microsoft Office Applications. This training provides the foundation for a full laptop immersion program in middle school where for 10 years, Heritage Oak middle school students have been leveraging technology to communicate, collaborate and develop creative thinking skills.

The school’s technology infrastructure is designed to enhance communication with parents and students at all grade levels with on-line grading and on-line posting of classroom assignments. A campus wide, high speed wireless infrastructure along with a full-time technology coordinator ensures that technology is effectively integrated into the curriculum.
