All Heritage Oak Student Entries at OC Science and Engineering Fair Earn Medals
Yorba Linda, Calif. (March 27, 2017)— Heritage Oak sent 14 students to the Orange County Science and Engineering Fair the week of March 20th and, for the first time in the school’s history, all 14 projects earned medals. Additionally, four students received additional recognition for their projects and one student has advanced to the state competition later this year.
Eighth grade student Aneal S. received a Honorable Mention for his project entitled, “Potassium Clorate-A New Way to Make Oxygen”; Sixth grade student Rehan K. received a Honorable Mention for his project entitled, “Steeling Oxygen”; Eighth grade student Ishaan S. received a Honorable Mention for his project entitled, “Fluids and Aerodynamics – Down Force”; and Eighth grade student Danny H. received a Second Place award for his project entitled, “Electronic/Electricity-Regenerative Braking.” Danny will move on to the State Science Fair to represent Heritage Oak later this spring.
The fourteen projects selected for the fair were chosen by Middle School Science Teacher Annie Shaw during the Middle School Science Fair in February.
