Week 5 July 13-16 Home / Camp & After School / Specialty Camps / Week 5 AM Sessions (9:00 am-12:00 pm): Theater Week Winnie the Pooh Kids-TWO WEEK CAMP (JK–8th Grade) Join the magic in this summer’s theater production: Winnie the Pooh Kids! In this two-week camp, young performers will experience the joy of bringing A.A. Milne’s beloved characters, like Pooh, Piglet, Tigger, and Eeyore, to life on stage. Campers will learn the fundamentals of acting, singing, and dancing while building confidence and teamwork. They’ll also take part in stagecraft, costume design, and set creation to make the Hundred Acre Wood truly come alive. The camp will culminate in a heartwarming live performance for family and friends; an unforgettable adventure for young actors of all experience levels! NOTE: This is a 2-week camp. Enrollment in both week 5 and week 6 is required to participate. Cookie Connoisseurs Jr. (JK–3rd Grade) It’s time to sweeten up your summer! During this week-long baking adventure, bakers will become cookie-making experts. They’ll mix, bake, and decorate a variety of delicious cookies, learning different baking techniques along the way. From classic chocolate chip to fun, creative designs, campers will have the chance to experiment with new flavors and decorations. Plus, they’ll get to enjoy their tasty creations each day! ALLERGY ALERT: Please note, the camp recipes contain gluten, dairy, nuts, and eggs. Robotics (4th–8th Grade) Robotics combines engineering, science, and technology skills to create machines that perform tasks and solve problems! Using VEX robots, campers will unlock the power of their imagination by designing and constructing remote-controlled robotic devices. Students will learn the concepts of Machine Intelligence, which is found in almost all the devices and machines around us, from cars to home automation to smartphones. The students will work to design the robot, build it, and move it by remote control. They will learn about robot sensors, which enable the robot to “feel” its environment. Finally, they will learn programming in order to give the robot the ability to perform some defined tasks autonomously. Robots are only limited by your imagination! NASA Dreams Rocket Science (JK–8th Grade) 3, 2, 1 – BLAST OFF! Mrs. Bernard invites your child to come to our NASA Dreams Rocket Science camp and get ready to experience the fun of flight! From the Wright Brothers all the way to the future of space travel, Rocket Science Camp will be jam-packed with excitement! Use our super rocket launcher to create a water rocket that will blast over 100 feet into the air! Find out what it is like for astronauts in zero gravity by completing anti-gravity challenges and even eat Astronaut Ice Cream! Create your own army man parachute! Find out what it takes to drop an egg from a building without letting it crack! Learn to fold and fly the “Paper Airplanes of the Day”! Fly on over to NASA Dreams Rocket Science Camp! **Please note that this camp will be offered in the morning and afternoon during this week. Junior Journalist (2nd–3rd Grade) Mrs. Owens is thrilled to lead Junior Journalism, a camp designed to spark creativity, encourage self-expression, and refine communication skills. Through engaging and thought-provoking topics, students will discover new personal insights and develop a deeper understanding of the world around them; all while having fun putting their ideas on paper. Join us for an inspiring and enriching experience! Beginning French (2nd–5th Grade) Join us for a week of fun, interactive French conversations! This week-long camp is designed for kindergarten students to review a variety of math concepts in a fun and engaging way. With ice cream-themed activities, campers will explore counting, shapes, patterns, and more—plus, they’ll enjoy a special ice cream treat on the final day to celebrate all their hard work. It’s the sweetest way to build math skills and have a blast! Math Around the World (1st–2nd Grade) Introducing Math Around the World; an exciting new class that combines math with cultural exploration! Mrs. Owens and her students will “travel” to different countries, solving addition and subtraction challenges along the way. With interactive games, hands-on activities, and a personalized “mathport”, your child will build confidence and strengthen their math skills while having a blast. Math Around the World turns learning into an unforgettable adventure. Math Escape Room (3rd–4th Grade) Crack the codes, solve the puzzles, and escape… using math! In this exciting, challenge-based camp, students will put their problem-solving skills to the test through a series of themed escape room adventures. Each day, campers will work in teams to complete math challenges, decipher clues, and unlock mysteries using concepts like multiplication, division, fractions, and logic. With teamwork, critical thinking, and a little perseverance, they’ll discover that math isn’t just about numbers- it’s the key to every great escape! STEM Carnival Adventure (4th–8th Grade) Step right up for the ultimate STEM Carnival Adventure! Campers will dive into the exciting world of science and engineering as they explore simple machines and other awesome STEM concepts. Working together, campers will design and build their own interactive carnival games, then show them off in a lively showcase! It will be a week full of creativity, teamwork, and hands-on fun!
