Yorba Linda, Calif. (October 4, 2018)— Last week, the first grade classes at Heritage Oak Private Education completed their lesson about Johnny Appleseed and fall apples by making apple sauce. While the apple sauce was the sweet treat at the end of the lesson, the real learning occurred during the sauce-making process.

(March 26, 2018) – Students from Heritage Oak Private Education in Yorba Linda recently raised more than $3,000 in donations to provide more than 100 duffel bags filled with comforting and essential supplies for distribution to foster care children. Yorba Linda, Calif. (August 21, 2017)—Children at Camp Heritage Oak were able to experience their first solar eclipse this morning during the "Daily Activity" portion of the day. Each camper, with approval from his/her parents, was able to view the eclipse through a pair of ISO certified eclipse glasses. When not outside viewing, campers were able to watch the live eclipse via NASA on YouTube in the classrooms.

Yorba Linda, Calif. (July 22, 2017)— Heritage Oak eighth grade violinist Sarah Liu recently performed in Pacific Symphony’s Symphony in the Cities concerts. She was invited to perform in May after she received Pacific Symphony Santiago Strings' Conductor's Award for her musical leadership in the orchestra and outstanding level of playing. The Symphony in the Cities concerts are very popular in South Orange County and are typically attended by over 5,000 people per concert.

Yorba Linda, Calif. (July 12, 2017)— Heritage Oak Middle School student Zirun Han was recently selected as a Broadcom Masters Nominee for her 2017 Science Fair project. Only 10% of science fair projects nationwide are selected for this opportunity. Han’s project is currently under consideration for Semifinalist and Finalist status. She will find out if she is named one of the 30 finalists, who will be invited to Washington D.C. for a week of competition, on September 20, 2017.
