YORBA LINDA, Calif. (Nov. 4, 2016) – Heritage Oak Private Education (HOPE) students took the pledge to stay drug, tobacco and alcohol free, during Red Ribbon Week and were supported for their efforts with a visit from the LAPD and an Extreme Sports show by Gale Webb Extreme Sports and Vans.
The National Red Ribbon Campaign is the oldest and largest drug prevention program in the nation reaching millions of young people during Red Ribbon Week, October 23-31 each year.

October 27, 2016 - Heritage Oak Private Education (HOPE) eighth-grade students recently traveled to Washington D.C. and New York, to visit our nation’s capital and other historic sights.
The six-day trip to the nation’s capital is a rite of passage for middle school students, which turns learning history and social studies from homework into a demonstrative experience that the students are emerged in. Each day is filled with education and fun making this an experience to cherish.

Last week, Heritage Oak Private Education held its first coding class for second graders as part of its regular technology curriculum. Coding has been added to the curriculum this year for children in grades two through five and the program the school is using utilizes popular characters from Mine Craft, Angry Birds and Star Wars in order to keep students interested and motivated.

September 16, 2016, Yorba Linda, CA - Heritage Oak Private Education celebrated its 50th anniversary on Friday, September 9, 2016 at the school’s annual Welcome Back Celebration. The celebration, held on the school’s campus, featured a performance by the school’s cheerleaders, a school history trivia game (teachers vs. alumni), and various nostalgic images and memorabilia. The Bone Clones Research Award is awarded for the project that best demonstrates the use of the scientific method in original research in Mammalian Biology or Zoology.

(May 13, 2016)— Last weekend, four musical groups from Heritage Oak Private School competed in the World Strides Heritage Festival at Fullerton College and received the Instrumental Sweepstakes Award. This award recognizes the school with the highest combined scores in band and orchestra.

Two Heritage Oak students took top honors at the recently concluded Orange County Science and Engineering Fair (OCSEF), which took place in Costa Mesa, California.
