VB Camp AM CAMP 4th-8th   (Heritage Oak Girls Only)  Coach Cygan- AM Camps
DSL- 9am-10:30am and MS- 10am-12pm

Orchestra – 4th (Heritage Oak Students Only) AM Camp
This class will prepare Orchestra students for the upcoming school year. Students will work in an ensemble with multiple instruments and sections. They will learn new techniques with their respective instruments and focus as a group on music theory, music history, listening and aural skills, music notation, and new music terms. The week will conclude with a Mini Showcase performance.

Band- 4th - (Heritage Oak Students Only) AM Camp
This class will prepare Band students for the upcoming school year. Students will work in an ensemble with multiple instruments and sections. They will learn new techniques with their respective instruments and focus as a group on music theory, music history, listening and aural skills, music notation, and new music terms.

School Year Prep: Math  JK/K AM Camp
Students will work on concepts that meet Kindergarten Mathematics Standards; number names, counting in sequence, skip counting, comparing numbers, addition, subtraction, patterning, sorting, place value, measurement, classifying and analyzing objects into categories, gathering and analyzing data, time, money, and compare, create, and compose shapes. 

School Year Prep: Math  1st/2nd  AM Camp
Students will work on concepts that meet 1st and 2nd grade Mathematics Standards; numerical sequencing, understand and analyze the relationship among numbers, addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, place value, basic fractions, measurement, collect, organize, and analyze data, time, money, and understand geometric principles. 

School Year Prep: Math  3rd-5th  AM Camp
Students will work on concepts that meet 3rd and 4th grade Mathematics Standards; multiplication, division, understand and analyze the relationship among numbers, use place value to perform multidigit arithmetic, fractions,  measurement, estimation, represent and interpret data, geometric measurement, time, money, understand and solve statistical and probability problems, and classify shapes by properties of their lines and angles.

This class will prepare current Orchestra students for the upcoming school year. Students will work in an ensemble with multiple instruments and sections. They will learn new techniques with their respective instruments and focus as a group on music theory, music history, listening and aural skills, music notation, and new music terms. Reading Rocks- JK/K- PM Camp
Each day students will read a different story, complete a reading response, and make a fun craft that goes along with the story. Children will spend time deciphering the genre of the text, studying character development, exploring new vocabulary, and sequencing. Students will create a fun work of art each day that expresses an important story element or character.

Novel Study- 3rd-5th- PM Camp
The Secret Lake Novel Study camp contains a fully integrated, creative, and comprehensive novel study on The Secret Lake by Karen Inglis. Students will work on answering detailed comprehension questions, vocabulary, story element analysis, projects, and engaging worksheets.
