Electives
Middle School Students at Heritage Oak are required to choose one of four year-long “Supplemental Courses”–either Band, Orchestra, Musical Theatre, or Debate.
In addition, each Middle School Student may choose one Elective per semester. Elective courses are curriculum-linked to enrich the school’s academic program according to Heritage Oak’s educational philosophy and mission.
Sample elective choices include the following:
- Computer Programming
- Math Wizards (Problem Solving)
- Masterminds
- 3-D Printing
- Leadership
- Film Appreciation
- Photography
- Genius Hour
- Show Choir
- Fitness Fun (Yoga, Pilates and Zumba)
- Sports Conditioning
- Middle School Prep (Required for all 6th graders. Focuses on time management, organization, and other skills necessary to become a successful student.)
